SUNSET
The clouds are low, I wonder why
This makes me sad. The heavy sky
Reflects my mood; I cannot pray
On such a dark and cheerless day.
Then just before the darkness comes,
The cloud lifts and the day becomes
an easier burden for my soul to bear.
Patches of blue begin to appear
Across the sky, and through them come
The last rays of the dying sun.
Suddenly the sky reveals
The Majesty of God that heals
Our ailing spirits in their pain
And it is possible to smile again.
Across the sky in glorious hue
Of rose and purple, gold and blue,
Spreads out the miracle of God's grace,
The glory of our Father's face.
In all our moods and trials He holds
Us in in His hand. As life unfolds,
We have the assurance of God's care,
And He will all our troubles share.
