IN THE DARKNESS OF OUR WINTER
In the darkness of our winter,
Comes a sudden glorious light,
Spreading outwards from the Christ-child,
Piercing through the clouds of night.
Born to lift our human nature
By His coming to the earth,
Bringing love, salvation, goodness,
Offering to all new birth.
Can you now accept this present,
Let a baby change your heart,
Give yourself to Him forever,
In his Kingdom play your part.
