CHRIST HAS DIED, CHRIST IS RISEN, CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN
Only let me see the cross where Jesus died;
Lift my eyes and feel the shame, His dignity denied.
Let all earthly thoughts and feelings fade,
And remember how my Saviour in a tomb was laid.
Only let me see the empty cross, my Saviour free;
Lift my heart and feel His love, His tenderness to me.
Let all earthly thoughts and feelings go,
And remember that my Lord to glory rose.
Only let me see His table, set for all to share.
Lift my soul, join with him in communion there.
Eat the bread of life, His body taking in;
Drink the wine, His precious blood shed for my sin.
Only let me look to heaven to see my Saviour's face;
Let no earthly love prevent me sharing in His grace.
Forward go wherever Christ may lead,
In certainty that He His child will feed.
Christ has died as payment for my sin.
Christ is risen that I may live in Him.
His glory, power and beauty I proclaim,
Content to know my Lord will come again.“
